#OnThisDay In 1933, Buffalo is hit with a moderate dust storm, with the storm beginning in the morning. The major dust storm, which began in Nebraska, blew and spreaded dust all the way to Georgia and New York. It was one of many severe dust storms that affected the Midwest during the Great Depression, a phenomenon nicknamed “The Dust Bowl”.
